All our dams is overflowing as far as I know. What amazes me is that we have not had rain here for 2 odd weeks but still the water just flows out of the ground.
The latest is in the road here in front of me. Water just starting syohoning out of the gravel road.
No it is not my conservancy tank overflowing

Thanks for this last sentence, Gunns.

I was just starting to wonder.............

Jokes aside, you had very good rain some time ago and one get the impression that the earth is sort of "saturated".

I noticed it here in the Western Cape the last day or two. Actually our rain has just started and its amazing to see how the water is standing next to the road and how it is coming down the cliffs like waterfalls.

It is pouring down. The full monty with massive thunderstorms, lightning, 40 kt wind and rain pelting down.
I am not sure how good it is for the pineapple farmers but the dams was already overflowing.
The road to work will be tricky that's for sure

Spare a thought and a prayer for people in the East London area. One of our instructors 's houses is flooded from top to bottom.
The Vincent Mall is closed and flooded - please see photo's on my facebook.
Cambridge Bridge is swamped with floating cars.
    A huge disaster.

Just when the grass started getting yellow and I thought I had to water the lawn - we had 24mm and then a total of 55 mm last week.
Just now we had 20 mm and in the background some serious thunder and lightning displays are going on.
    HE is good for us

My tanks were full as the sun set, I think it set? It was overcast all day with a steady heavy drizzle and then, at about 01:00 this morning, the heavens opened. It bucketed down! Measured 75 mm this morning. Bathurst is a mud bath. Port Alfred airfield is flooded but only about 40 mm in Kleinemonde apparently?

No flying for a couple of days, I'll wager!
