That was the end of his rugby career. He had another neck injury last June. The junior himself decided that he wouldn't play school-rugby anymore from next year. After two of those scares we decided to bring his retirement forward with immediate effect.

The agent has arrived safely in the capital of Bazaarland and managed to wrestle his way in, past the hoards of great unwashed seemingly all waiting for him to come across again before they also traveled.

Did not, unlike Bakkies on Saturday, get talked to for shouldering a Pakistani fellow traveller back into line at the X-ray when he tried to push past, but the Dutch guy alongside me at the time made sure I had right of way out after that.

Mooi so AK, but it IS very impolite to shoulder someone out of the way. What
you do is grip his earlobe between thumb and forefinger, and while quietly
talking to him (and furiously grinding said earlobe), walk him to the back of
the line ..... offence is never repeated, to the best of my knowledge .....

Great start to the morning, breakfast in bed while watching the women`s road cycle race on TV....then up and dressed and off to the shop to get the papers....got back in time to watch the finishing stages of the race......Nicole Cooke won!! GB`s first Gold Medal of the games.

"Lovely" summer weather up here amongst the Afghan mountains at the moment, none of the humidity we have in the Gulf. Did witness a bit of the "blowing dust" yesterday, so expect I will see a lot of that over the next two weeks.

See some of the traffic and other cops have their little face masks on to stop the stuff getting up the old nostrils. Nasty!
